Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 18, 2026
Short version: 617 Nation collects the minimum needed to run a fan app — your sign-in identity, the clips and comments you post, and what you tap on. We don't sell your data. You can delete your account at any time.

1. Who we are

617 Nation (the "App") is operated by EBJ Ventures ("we," "us"). The App is a Red Sox fan community for iOS where users browse live game scoreboards, post short clips, comment, and chat with other fans. This policy explains what data the App collects and how it's used.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you first open the App you're signed in anonymously via Apple's Sign in with Apple, Anonymous Auth, or a similar identity provider. We store:

We do not collect your real name, email, phone number, or address unless you voluntarily provide one through your profile or by contacting support.

Content you create

When you use the App you may post short video clips, comments, chat messages, likes, bookmarks, and follows. We store these along with timestamps and your user ID so other users can see them and so we can display them back to you. Clips you upload are stored in our Supabase Storage and served publicly via URL; comments and chat messages are stored in our database.

Game and content interactions

To make the feed work we record which clips you view, which games you enter "Game Mode" for, and whether you have an active Live Activity for a game. This data is used to drive features like the resume-where-you-left-off video position and the lock screen Live Activity tile.

Push notification tokens

When you start a Live Activity for a game, iOS gives us a push token for that activity. We store the token only for the duration of the activity (typically the length of a baseball game) and use it to send score updates and new-content alerts. The token is deleted when the activity ends.

Device information

We collect basic device information needed for the App to function — iOS version, app version, device model, and crash logs (if you opt into sharing them with Apple). We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos library (other than clips you explicitly choose to upload), microphone, or camera.

Content from X (formerly Twitter)

Some clips and highlights in the App's feed are re-broadcasts of public posts from baseball-related X accounts. We display these posts as attributed cards linking back to the original X post. We do not collect anything from your X account — these are public posts ingested via X's public API.

3. How we use the information

We use the information we collect to:

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.

4. How we share information

The only parties we share data with are infrastructure providers necessary to run the App:

We may also disclose information when legally required to do so (subpoena, court order, etc.) or when necessary to prevent harm.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your content (clips, comments, chat messages) and account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, your uploaded clips, and your comments within 30 days. Some derived data (aggregated counts, moderation records) may be retained longer in anonymized form.

6. Your rights

You can:

If you're located in California, the EEA, the UK, or another jurisdiction with data-rights laws, you may have additional rights (access, portability, restriction, objection). Email us and we'll process the request.

7. Children

The App is intended for users 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with information, please email us and we'll delete it.

8. Security

We use industry-standard infrastructure (Supabase row-level security, HTTPS for all network traffic, Apple's sandboxing on iOS) to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; if a security incident affects your data we'll notify you and applicable authorities as required by law.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, for significant changes, notify you in the App.
